C++ Real Time Software (Embedded) Engineer 988 (Contract)

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Country: UK Rate: £60 - £68 per hour
 

C++ Real Time Software (Embedded) Engineer

  • 12 month contract
  • Luton (3 days p/w on site)
  • £68ph (Inside IR35)

A Real Time Embedded software engineer is required in support of defensive aids development programmes at our site in Luton.

Activities will cover the full range of the software engineering life cycle, from requirements, to delivery, working on the clients current software code base to implement enhancements, resolve issues and ensure the software is compliant with software development and release process.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in all areas of the software life cycle from requirements definition through to integration and delivery.
  • Developing and updating Modern C++ software in a Real Time Embedded environment on target hardware.
  • Familiar with debugging software on target hardware in a lab environment
  • Strong knowledge of the software engineering life cycle including awareness of the latest continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques.
  • Understanding and application of software design methodologies and best practice including Object Orientated, SOLID design principles and use of recognised design patterns.
